Kirkwood Post 156  opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Post 156 first got on the board when Isaiah Cook singled, scoring one run.

Elsberry Post 226  tied the game in the top of the second thanks to a single by Austin Mayhall, and a ground out by Cory Martinez.

Post 226 took the lead in the top of the third inning after Mayhall singled down the right field line, Brennan Howard singled down the left field line, and Cayden Palmer grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.

Peter Daskalakis earned the win for Post 226. The hurler surrendered six hits and three runs over three innings, striking out two and walking four. Teddy Clanton pitched three innings in relief for Post 156. The reliever surrendered two hits and zero runs while, striking out one and walking one. Drew Timp took the loss for Post 156. The hurler went two and one-third innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking three.

Nicholas Copeland led Post 156  with three runs batted in. The infielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Cook collected two hits for Post 156 in four at bats. Post 156 had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Braeden Caupp, Clanton, and Timmy Charles led the team with two free passes each. Post 156  turned one double play in the game. Post 156 were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Charles made the most plays with 11.

Mayhall drove the middle of the lineup, leading Post 226  with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Mayhall, Avan Weaver, and Howard each collected two hits for Post 226 and had patience at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Post 226  turned one double play in the game. Post 226  were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brady Eulinger had the most chances in the field with eight.  Final score • Elsberry 7 and Kirkwood 4

Post 156 AAA 18U will travel to Rock Memorial Post 283 AAA 18U for their next game on Tuesday.
